or eligible New Zealand citizen who is applying from within Australia. This visa pathway begins with the temporary Partner Visa
(Subclass 820) and may lead to the permanent Partner Visa (Subclass 801).

The eligibility requirements are generally the same as the Subclass 820/801 Partner Visa pathway. Successful applicants are initially granted the temporary Partner Visa (Subclass 309), which allows them to travel to and live in Australia while awaiting a decision
